In Indonesia, this vision is enshrined in the Golden Indonesia 2045 roadmap, a national commitment to human capital development and stronger education outcomes. Yet for children in remote island communities, the path to opportunity can be challenging. Distance, limited resources, and a shortage of teachers often stand between eager young minds and the skills they need to thrive.
English language proficiency is one such skill—a gateway to education, employment, and participation in global industries such as tourism and sustainable ocean enterprises. But for many children, support beyond the classroom is scarce.
Atlas Pearls is proud to play a role in bridging this gap through Mutiara Kids, a program that delivers weekly English lessons in Alor, Lembata, and Alyui. These sessions are more than language drills; they are confidence-building experiences that empower students to speak, to express, and to prepare for the future with optimism.
